The most popular accommodation on the net at Caramoan is the Gota Village. However, we chose to stay at West Peninsula Villas because it is the most reasonably priced resort we found on the net. It is also where some of the Survivor crews stay at during the shooting of the Survivor Series.
Our package (Php 3,700.00 per head for 5 person) from West Peninsula Villas, which is good for 3 days and 2 nights, includes the accommodation, itinerary with tour guide and a service van to help us travel easier since they are not located at the beach front (they’re around 15 minutes drive away from the beach).
The Pool – The pool is small but I didn’t really have a chance to swim on it because I’m too tired to swim.
The Cottage – This is where we eat. It also has a TV where they let us watch the Pacquiao – Mayweather fight last May 3, 2015 (PH time) for free.
The Tavern – This is where you can order and drink alcoholic beverages.
The Room – The bedroom looks clean and is air-conditioned. On the other hand, the toilet looks old but forgivable. The sink on our first room is leaking so we requested the staff to move us on a different room on which they gladly assisted us. But I must commend their shower because it has a hot and cold water. This picture is from our first room.
The Public Toilet
While I didn’t really find their food on par with my favorite restaurants here in Manila, their dishes are really plentiful and are enough to make us full. A bonus is that their dinner’s rice is unlimited.
Here are the foods they served us during our stay: (Consists of 2 breakfast, 2 lunch and 2 dinner for a 3 days 2 night stay.)
Day 1 – Lunch.
Day 1 – Dinner.
Day 2 – Breakfast.
Day 2 – Lunch by the sea.
Day 2 – Dinner.
Day 3 – Breakfast.
Bicolanos are known for their fun loving nature. They are cheerful and accommodating. With that said, I’m very happy with our guide, Eric (not sure if it’s Eric or Erik), who is very accommodating and helpful. He patiently answered all my questions about Caramoan and even help us in bringing our bags and took some pictures for us. On the other hand, the staffs at the resort are also polite and accommodating.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay at West Peninsula Villas. Although the resort is not flashy, our whole package is certainly worth the money. It also helps that our tour guide is very accommodating.
