Tim Ho Wan is a Michelin-starred dim sum restaurant originally based at Hong Kong. With all the hype going on, it’s really hard to eat at this restaurant because of the long line. Luckily, my bf and I learned that they also have a branch at Glorietta 3 which has a shorter line compared with their SM Megamall branch. The turn over rate at that time is fast so it took us only 15 minutes waiting for our turn.
Standing true to its reputation, I’m not disappointed with their famed Baked Bun with BBQ Pork (Php 145.00). The crust of the bread is crumbly while the bread itself is soft. Its inside is stuffed with a delicious pork asado.
Their dim sums are also good but I didn’t find anything extraordinary on it so I won’t be including individual reviews about it. However, I would like to note that the mold of their dim sums are good and consistent.
Here are some of their pictures:
The Vermicelli Roll with Beef (Php 160.00).
The Prawn Dumpling (Php 160.00).
The Beef Ball with Beancurd Skin (Php 120.00).
The Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork & Shrimp (Php 120.00).
The Dumpling Teochew Style (Php 120.00).
And the Spinach Dumpling with Shrimp (Php 120.00).
Overall, I must say that their Baked Bun with BBQ Pork is great. However, for the other dim sums, I guess I find them a little bit overpriced. I’m also disappointed that their restaurant is very crowded. The seats are very near to each other. I’m not sure if this is also the same case as with their Megamall branch. But I would like to commend them for their fast service. Our order arrived fast considering that they have many customers.
