Tien Ma is a restaurant offering Taiwanese cuisine which is known for its Xiao Long Bao. If you are familiar with Kao-Chi, you could also say that it replaced the previous Kao-Chi restaurant.
With that said, our favorite order here is their Xiaolong Pao (Php 200.00 for 9 pcs. of Xiaolong Pao). Its taste is comparable to Lugang Cafe’s Xiao Long Bao but its price is a lot cheaper. The only visible difference is that Tien Ma’s wrapper is thicker. But I don’t find it a problem because it helps me not to break my Xiao Long Bao. For those of you who are not familiar with Xiao Long Bao, it’s like a dumpling with soup inside. Fancy right?
For the rice, we decided to try their Fried Rice w/ Pineapple (Php 200.00). (Well, it’s more of I decided it because I like pineapples. Lol.) And one thing! It has pork floss. You know, the one on top of BreadTalk’s famous bread. I’m not really a fan of it but I know a lot of you are. :p
My boyfriend and I also love their Three Cup Chicken (Php 199.00). It’s a Chinese version of adobo and is sweeter compared to its Filipino counterpart.
If your looking for a good yet affordable Chinese dishes, then this place is perfect. Many of their dishes are for sharing so it would be good if you can bring along a friend here. But for their Xiao Long Bao, depending on how easily you can get full, 9 pcs. might not be enough as it’s really good.
