Located at D. Tuazon, Quezon City, The Big Cheese! Pizza specializes in… What else? Cheese pizzas! This is our 2nd time here and what I really like about their pizzas is their soft chewy dough. Actually, their 10 Cheese Overload pizza can pass as a panniza. But I’m not sure if they have Alfalfa or Arugula in stock. Got to ask them next time.
For starters, they have what I call the Mojos alternative – Garlic Parmesan Fries (Php 150.00). It’s a twisted potato cooked almost similarly to Mojos. It’s not really on par with the Shakey’s famed Mojos but it’s good enough.
And here is our favorite pizza. It’s a 12 inches 10 Cheese Overload pizza (Php 430.00). If you’re wondering for the list of cheeses they’ve use for this one. It’s: Cream Cheese base, Mozzarella, Cheddar, Parmesan, Feta, Ricotta, Monterey Jack, Provolone, Blue Cheese and Gruyere. I’m not a cheese expert but I’m familiar enough to know that the good smell on their pizza is from Blue Cheese.
Another must try on their menu is the Margherita pizza (Php 340.00). It also has a mozzarella but this time, it’s topped with real slices of tomato.
We also tried their pasta. The Meatball pasta (Php 180.00) is tomato-based and I like how it has chunks of tomato meats. Its taste is more on the tomato-ey side rather than the sweet side.
My boyfriend prefers white-based pasta so we also ordered their Carbonara pasta (Php 170.00). I’m not really a fan of white-based pastas but I enjoyed eating the bacons. :p
For the dessert, it looks like they don’t serve desserts so we have to move to another restaurant just to have our dessert.
