My friend asked me before for a recommendation of a good dessert place at Banawe, Quezon City and I had a hard time giving him an answer. Banawe has no shortage on good Milk Teas and Halo-halo but I find them too ordinary. We didn’t know that there’s Snow Creme near Banawe. Snow Creme specializes on Shaved Ice similar to Taiwanese Shaved Ice. If you’re curious how shaved ice are made, check our video below.
While I have yet to try their other flavors, my personal favorite is their Peanut Banana Foster SnowIce (Php 120.00 – Medium). It’s topped with Cookie Crumbles, Graham Powder, Choco Syrup and of course, Banana! The ice cream is not sweet and blends well with the toppings. Their serving size is also huge. Their medium size is good for 2 people.
This is how the shaved ice looks like. My boyfriend said it looks like a shredded chicken. Lol! I had fun playing with it. It feels like I’m eating snow strips.
We also tried their Golden Mango SnowIce (Php 120.00 – Medium). It’s topped with Milk Pudding, Real Mango slices and Mango Syrup. I’m expecting it to tastes similar to Rita’s Mango-flavored Italian Ice, but it’s not. I’m disappointed that it tastes artificial… Probably due to the mango syrup? But considering that this is their best-seller, it’s probably just not my preference.
After our dessert, we had their Club and Cheese (Php 150.00). Yes, we had it after our dessert. XD It’s Mashed Potato with lots of Cheese, Bacon and, interestingly, Pineapple Tidbits. I love how it’s sweet and salty at the same time. Definitely, a must-try.
