I’ve been to UP Town Center a few days ago and I didn’t know that it’s actually a big place. I got attracted to several shiny shops there and among the notable ones my boyfriend and I visited is Satchmi. It’s a vintage music shop x cafe where you can buy vinyls and/or enjoy coffee while listening to their music.
Before browsing on their shop, my boyfriend and decided to have a snack first. Although a bit pricey, they have quiet a good selection of foods. Avocado is one of my favorite fruits. So when I saw Avocado and Salmon Toast (Php 220.00) in their menu, I know I must order it! And it’s really good. Their pesto topping is plenty and it blends really well to the salmon and avocado. I’m just a bit disappointed because their serving size for this one is very small. I can probably eat 2 or 3 more of this.
On the other hand, my boyfriend went for their Rueben Sandwich (Php 290.00) which is stuffed with huge chunks of beefy corned beef. Contrary to my bruschetta, I was surprise to see that his order is big. Why so unfair??? So I also ate a portion of his order. Lol! The Rueben Sandwich is good for a fuller snack.
For the coffee we went for Cold Brew (Php 160.00) and Flat White (Php 140.00). What’s interesting in their Cold Brew is that they serve it in a bottle. This makes stocking bottles of their coffee at home easier. However, you need to consume it within 5 days.
After eating, we took a mini tour inside their shop. They have vinyls for both old and new songs. They also sell vinyl players. This one is Satchmi Motorino (Php 7,999) which is their portable entry-level vinyl player. Being the curious beaver we are, we asked if we can try it. Lol! Luckily, they have a designated area inside the shop where people can experience playing their vinyl players. Here’s a demo of the Satchmi Motorino.
